Tesla recently showcased its latest vehicle concepts at the “We, Robot” event, introducing an exciting new focus on public transport with the autonomous “Cybercab Robotaxi” and the “Robovan.”
Elon Musk emphasized the transformative potential of these fully autonomous vehicles, stating they could enhance transportation safety and affordability. According to Musk, these taxis could be ten times safer than human drivers, significantly reducing transport costs.
The Cybercab features a futuristic design characterized by sleek light bars and deep-dish rims, complemented by striking butterfly doors that give it a distinctive appearance.
As of now, both vehicles remain in the concept phase, with limited details on performance metrics. However, Tesla aims to start production before 2027, with a price target of under $30,000 USD. Additionally, Tesla will roll out Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities for the Model 3 and Model Y in California and Texas beginning next year.
