Police in Toronto are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred outside rapper Drake’s mansion in the Bridle Path area. The incident left one of Drake’s security guards injured.
According to Toronto police inspector Paul Krawczyk, the shooting took place around 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning while the security guard was stationed outside the entrance to the property.
It remains unclear whether Drake was present inside the mansion at the time of the shooting. The injured security guard is currently hospitalized with serious injuries.
During a press conference, Krawczyk stated that the shooting was captured on video surveillance footage, and the suspect fled the scene immediately afterward. As of now, the motive behind the shooting has not been determined.
When asked if the ongoing feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar could have been a factor in the shooting, Krawczyk mentioned that investigators are aware of the recent conflict but emphasized that it is too early to establish a motive.
