As the founder of Women’s Haven®, she has been empowering women and redefining feminine care with purpose, passion, and innovation.
It is always surreal to learn about all those founders, thought leaders, top voices, innovators and entrepreneurs, especially from the female brigade who go beyond doing the conventional. Women working to do things better for other women worldwide is one of the most inspiring and empowering things that the world could witness. Only a handful of entrepreneurs relentlessly work toward making a positive impact in the lives of others. Among them, one name that has been making quite some noise is Melesia Adderley, the Caribbean female entrepreneur. She is the heart and brain behind Women’s Haven®, which has been consistently forging ahead in the feminine care niche.
As a founder of Women’s Haven®, Melesia Adderley, who most recently was nominated for National Heroes Day 2025 in the Cayman Islands for Innovation in Entrepreneurship—an honour that truly reflects the heart behind her work has been passionately revolutionizing the feminine care industry, establishing a multi-country, multi-class organic feminine care trademark. Her products are available today in more than 90 stores across 10 Caribbean countries, online in the US, Canada and the UK, and on Amazon. From the beginning, She has remained determined to protect the health of women and girls, breaking taboos around menstrual health and fostering a legacy of education and empowerment.
She recalls how she saw a gap in the feminine care industry, realizing the harmful effects of traditional sanitary products. This ignited the fire within her to create a safer and healthier alternative. Research has linked conventional sanitary pads and tampons to health issues such as PCOS, endometriosis, chronic infections and reproductive cancers. Girls and women often have been unknowingly exposed to toxic chemicals that impact their overall health and well-being. She felt determined to disrupt the industry for the positive and thus founded Women’s Haven®, a brand that prioritizes organic, toxin-free feminine care. Through rigorous research and strategic expansion, she has successfully positioned her brand as a trusted source of safe and sustainable menstrual products.

Putting more light on the struggles, Melesia Adderley recalls that discovering the harmful effects of traditional sanitary products was one of the most defining struggles that led her to where she is today. It made her realize the need to establish a brand to sell products and educate and empower women to make safer and healthier choices. Another crucial moment in her journey was when she experienced trademark infringement in her own backyard. A local brand tried replicating what she had built. Instead of backing down, she fought to protect Women’s Haven® and successfully filed a cease and desist. This experience made her realize the importance of standing up for oneself and one’s vision, which eventually fueled her drive to secure trademarks across the region.
Melesia says that her greatest inspiration in life is purpose – living intentionally and building things that create lasting impact. She feels especially inspired by her husband and children. She is a homeschooling mother of four and wishes for her children to develop their path, stand for something meaningful and make a positive difference in the world through all that they choose to do in their lives. She is deeply inspired by women and the girls they serve through Women’s Haven®. “Knowing that a young girl can go to school with dignity because of the products I provide through my brand or that a woman feels empowered to make healthier choices for her body keeps me going every single day,” highlights Melesia.
Merging innovation and purpose, Women’s Haven® has been able to create a positive impact. Melesia Adderley envisions raising awareness of the dangers of toxic traditional sanitary pads and tampons. She concludes, “The objective of Women’s Haven® is to break the taboo and the silence around the subject of the female menstrual cycles and vaginal health by educating females on the importance of using 100% organic feminine care products.” She also envisions being the leading organic feminine care brand in the Caribbean and beyond.
