Coco Jones is truly making her mark on 2025. With a new single out, an album on the way, and a tour to match, the multitalented artist is preparing for one of the biggest years of her career. A true powerhouse of R&B, songwriting, and acting, Coco is starting the year with a major fashion moment at the 2025 Oscars, where she stepped onto the red carpet in a custom Coach gown, setting the tone for what’s to come.
The gown, which Coco calls “Coco and Coach’s version” of the classic little black dress, was a collaborative effort between the artist and the brand. The design embraced a vintage silhouette with a structured corset and materials from the 1930s, aligning perfectly with both Coach’s sustainability efforts and Coco’s personal style. “It was incredible to incorporate these historical materials in a way that felt both timeless and fresh,” said Coco’s stylist Maeve Reilly. For Jones, the upcycling of vintage pieces mirrored her music-making process—sampling and reimagining songs with a nostalgic twist.
Jones’ upcoming debut album, Why Not More, and her recent single “Taste”—which features a pitched-down sample of Britney Spears’s iconic track “Toxic”—are a testament to her artistic evolution. The blend of pop and R&B influences, especially her desire to push the boundaries of R&B, is front and center in her latest work. “I want to continue to push the boundaries of what R&B can be,” says Coco. “When you put out your first album, it’s like, hey, this is who I am. Some people will be hearing me for the first time, and I wanted to show different sides of me.”

A Red Carpet Moment That Speaks to Her Story
Coco’s deep connection with Coach began at New York Fashion Week when she attended the brand’s spring/summer 2022 show. Since then, her bond with the brand has grown stronger. “I love the diversity in their pieces, the inclusivity in the people they work with, and their intentional approach to how they create and run their business,” she shared.
When asked about her approach to red carpet looks, Coco emphasizes the importance of storytelling. “Fashion tells a story,” she says. “Right now, with my debut album, it’s a combination of so many different songs that have old and new elements, staying true to me. The Oscars dress is a lot like my album—vintage elements mixed with new ones.”
A Diverse Range of Music and a Dynamic Tour
As she gears up for her debut album and tour, Coco is most excited for fans to experience the different sides of her personality through her music. “I want to be the type of artist where there’s a song for every mood,” she explains. “For the girls who are chill, the girls who are ragey, the flirty girls, and the ones who are still figuring themselves out. We all have so many sides to us.”
Jones has always had a knack for combining genres, drawing inspiration from the ‘90s and early 2000s pop and R&B influences. One of the standout moments in her musical journey is the release of “Taste,” which merges R&B with a nostalgic pop twist. “I was obsessed with Britney, Hannah Montana, and the pop world growing up,” she reveals. “This song was a chance to blend pop and R&B in a way that felt true to me.”
Coco’s Film & TV Ventures
While her music career is taking off, Coco is also stepping into the world of acting. After executive-producing and starring in a black rom-com, she’s currently gearing up for a new project in South Africa. “I’m going to South Africa to film a scary movie, but don’t worry, I’m not doing the scary parts,” she laughs. “I hope to continue to build my film and TV career with the same energy I put into my music.”
2025: A Year of Endless Possibilities
With her album Why Not More and an upcoming tour, Coco is undoubtedly on track for a major year in 2025. From her red carpet moments to her evolving sound and acting aspirations, she’s setting the stage for even greater things to come.
