The passionate business owner and trainer from Australia has been changing the beauty game for the better by taking cosmetic tattoo training to the next level.
The world has, over the years, witnessed the rise of many male business owners taking over almost all industries. How many times have people celebrated the successes of female entrepreneur business owners? Well, the times have changed and how, where people see female leaders and innovators waltzing their way to the top and changing the business game for the better, ultimately infusing more positivity and motivation in other budding professionals of the world, just like Terryn Hall is smashing in the world of cosmetic tattooing & training with her one-of-a-kind style of teaching with One Seven.
This incredible woman started her professional journey in fashion, starting a swimwear label then moving onto being apart of the real estate space. These imperative yet substantially different career paths have “paid in spades” when it came to finding her feet and passion with cosmetic tattooing. “I was never a girly-girl, so beauty was never on the radar for me. I still laugh that I’ve ended up here. I was the outdoorsy, live in board shorts, wrestling with the boys type. My 17th birthday present was a fishing charter and we were the only females on the boat!” laughs Terryn.
“I enrolled to Perth College of Beauty in my mid 20’s based on how terrible I was at just doing my own makeup. I figured if I have to do this for the rest of my life, I may as well learn it properly”, and look how far she has reached today in her journey, turning herself into an entrepreneur and growing a high six figure business. There is a reason why today, Terryn Hall is known as one of Perth’s top cosmetic tattoo trainers, for she has made sure to impact lives positively by spreading her knowledge and inculcating skills in other up-and-comers in the cosmetic tattooing industry. This she does through her unique training programs that are offered in groups, 1:1 and soon to be online upskilling to ensure global reach.
She wants to impact more and more students and budding talents to be a part of this game and become future innovators of the industry, with previous students earning up to $6,000 after completing her one week course, this is one unstoppable program making waves in Australia and more notable gaining recognition overseas via social media. The rising Australian founder of One Seven Cosmetic Tattooing & Training started her business in 2018 and has now built a solid clientele community that proudly own either One Seven Brows or is a certified One Seven artist and creating their own businesses and enjoying the decimation of the usual “9-5 grind” as Terryn calls it. Through One Seven, she has created an incredible line of Microblading tools, brow pencils and soon to be her own cosmetic tattoo machine, the “Medusa”, to provide the very best for her students and fellow artists.
She has, over the years, gained mastery in brow artistry, which she has been proved by the kind of impact she has created in the industry through her business and the number of lives she has changed through her academy and training, with 5 star reviews across the board! Her much-talked-about service Feather Touch Cosmetic Tattooing specializes in mixing the perfect pigment colour and correcting colour. They use a hand tool in which specially formulated pigments are implanted artistically into the dermal layer of the skin to mimic the perfect brow pattern that gives long-lasting results, ultimately enhancing one’s natural beauty and confidence. “You cannot put a dollar amount on making women smile when they look in the mirror. We are so conditioned to pick out our flaws, talk negatively about ourselves and ultimately want to be what we see on social media or tv, and for one moment in time, someone is truly, sometimes even teary happy because of something you have done for them. That is PRICELESS, getting paid well is just a bonus.”
Speaking about starting her journey in the industry, Terryn Hall considers all this a divine intervention as she was offered a position as a brow shape artist, which eventually took her into cosmetic tattooing. So, going from real estate to beauty, then back to real estate and the untimely returning to the cosmetic world as her own boss, with becoming an expert in brow artistry, all this seems to her like it was meant to be, on a very windy road nonetheless! Terryn is glad to offer incredible knowledge to students through her creative outlet of teaching. These courses are created by her with the focus on creating a family of artists that are certified and know the “why” of things and not just the “how.” Understanding the difference in quality and seeking a better understanding of global knowledge.
“I find Perth to be quite behind in knowledge and have always travelled interstate for my own personal cosmetic tattoo training & even internationally certified to ensure I am finding the very best for my clients “The internationally certified, recognized and qualified TAE trainer and assessor has grown her business into not just a financial success, but the quality of community is quite impressive and visible just by reading even a handful of reviews. “Social media following isn’t an accurate way to gauge success, it’s not hard to build mass followers online; but building a stable, financially rewarding full time revolving door of new and returning clients is not easy to build, that is true value and THAT overrides all of the online bullsh*t”.
So what is the X factor as such we wondered? So we asked, however staying humble; she responded; “I absolutely love my clients and students, I love them before they come in, I love them before the class has started. They have bet on me, and at one point in my life I didn’t even bet on myself. I take that so personally. It’s impossible for me not to be utterly obsessed and involved in their outcome with me”, she goes on “their reaction to any interaction with myself, is selfishly my idea of internal value. Therefore, to be worthy, to be enjoyed, and to be bet on, spoken highly of & trusted must come with the ultimate value for them. That is a standard I expect of myself, nothing less.”
