High-fashion enthusiasts and Nike devotees have been eagerly anticipating the launch of the sacai x Nike Magmascape ever since it made its debut on Chitose Abe’s Fall/Winter 2023 runway during Paris Fashion Week in January. This unique fusion of high-end Japanese craftsmanship and Nike’s iconic designs is finally set to hit the shelves on December 7.
The sneaker, a blend of the Air Footscape and the Air Magma, will be available in three distinct colorways: “Black,” “Light British Tan,” and “Varsity Royal.” The “Varsity Royal” colorway pays homage to the ’90s palette of the Air Footscape, incorporating a mix of blue, grey, black, and white tones.
Crafted from premium suede, mesh, and leather, the shoe features a reimagined sole unit inspired by Nike’s hiking designs, while its collar pays homage to the Air Magma. The silhouette of the sneaker harks back to the original construction of the Footscape and is finished with sacai’s signature double lacing.
