Quavo is continuing his collaboration spree, following recent tracks with Lana Del Rey and Peso Pluma. The rapper is set to release a new single with rock icon Lenny Kravitz, titled “FLY,” dropping this Friday, August 9.
The upcoming track features a prominent sample of Kravitz’s hit “Fly Away,” and Quavo has been teasing it on Instagram. In a final preview, Quavo and Kravitz are seen walking towards the camera, offering a longer snippet of the song. In the clip, Quavo raps, “I’m feelin’ the wave / I wanna fly (I wanna fly) / Let’s get geeked, let’s get drunk, let’s get high (Let’s get high) / Don’t go on a plane (Phew) / I’m sittin’ in jet way / You already know which way we goin’ (Go), that way (Top).”
The initial teaser was a black-and-white video posted last week, where Quavo wrote, “Flyest in the room u jus passed the moon … Fly’n Soon!!!” He continued to share snippets from the music video shoot, including one with the caption “This Is Not a VS!!!” showcasing Kravitz playing guitar.
Be sure to check out Quavo and Lenny Kravitz’s “FLY” on all streaming platforms this Friday.
