There are tons of talented people working across varied industries in the world who have never left a stone unturned in giving their best and proving to the world that they are worth much more. Many of these professionals have also brought in a wave of new change, showcasing their A-game and eventually inspiring many other up-and-comers in the industry, just like unbeaten super-middleweight star Edgar Berlanga has done in the world of boxing. At 25 years, he is already known for the incredible speed, grit, and confidence he has shown in each of his fights in his career as a young Brooklyn talent.

Edgar Berlanga (20-0 16 KOs) created more momentum in the industry when he stunned everyone with his run of 16 first-round KOs from his debut in June 2016 to December 2020. This led him to attain his first pro title in October 2021, receiving the WBO NABO Super-Middleweight belt, fighting Marcelo Coceres in Las Vegas. He had even astonished everyone at the Hulu Theatre at Madison Square Garden fighting Steve Rolls and Alexis Angulo last year. Defending the WBO NABO title with unanimous decision wins over ten rounds; he achieved his world rankings.

Today, Edgar Berlanga has reached #4 with the WBO and IBF and #6 with the WBA and is expected to return to the ring in Summer 2023, looking forward to fighting undisputed Super-Middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez. “New opportunities in the form of some of the most happening multi-fights await me, and I can’t contain my excitement. Returning to the ring and seeing how things move for the positive after the deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing is something I look forward to eagerly,” shares the young talent.

On the other hand, Eddie Hearn shares, “I am thrilled for what’s in store for Berlanga, and I am also glad that he agreed to sign on the dotted line with us at Matchroom. He is a real star who is looking to fight with the best of the best, and we will make that happen for him.”
