Simone Biles has reached a groundbreaking milestone, now holding the title of the most decorated U.S. Olympic gymnast ever. Her latest achievement came with a gold medal in the women’s gymnastics team event at the 2024 Paris Olympics, adding to her already impressive collection.
Competing with teammates Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Suni Lee, and Hezly Rivera, Biles helped secure the gold, marking a triumphant return after winning silver at the previous Olympics. With this victory, Simone’s medal count stands at eight: five gold, one silver, and two bronze—surpassing the previous record she shared with Shannon Miller.
This win is especially sweet for Biles, who took a step back from individual events at the Tokyo 2020 Games to focus on her mental well-being. Now back and better than ever, she’s set to compete in several more events during the Paris Games:
- Women’s All-Around Final: Thursday, August 1
- Event Finals Day 1 (Women’s Vault): Saturday, August 3
- Event Finals Day 2 (Women’s Uneven Bars): Sunday, August 4
- Event Finals Day 3 (Women’s Balance Beam and Floor Exercise): Monday, August 5
