Renault is bringing back the spirit of adventure with a futuristic twist. Debuting at Roland-Garros 2025, the French automaker has introduced the 4 Savane 4×4 Concept—a bold reinterpretation of the iconic Renault 4, now infused with modern electric performance and serious off-road capabilities.

Drawing inspiration from the original Savane editions of the mid-20th century, the new 4 Savane Concept merges retro charm with cutting-edge technology. Built on Renault’s AmpR Small EV platform, the all-electric SUV features dual electric motors—one on each axle—delivering full-time all-wheel drive for enhanced terrain handling.

Performance upgrades include increased ground clearance, widened front and rear tracks, and 18-inch wheels wrapped in robust Goodyear UltraGrip Performance+ 225/55 tires, making it more than ready to handle rugged conditions. The exterior is finished in a striking Jade Green, accented with gloss black bumpers and arches, 3D-printed shock-absorbing elements, and a unique pixel-camouflage roof wrap that elevates its off-road identity.

The concept’s rugged styling carries through to the cabin, where a Deep Brown textile interior meets refined design details like houndstooth seat inserts, quilted number “4” motifs, and a backlit 4Savane logo embedded in the dashboard. It’s a seamless blend of utility and elegance.

More than just a showpiece, the 4 Savane 4×4 Concept signals Renault’s growing commitment to versatile EV innovation, hinting at what’s possible for future B-segment electric vehicles with genuine all-terrain potential. It also arrives as the brand builds momentum for its upcoming next-gen MICRA EV.

On display throughout the French Open, the 4 Savane 4×4 not only revives an icon—it redefines it for a new generation of explorers.
