Mercedes-Maybach Introduces Exclusive S-Class Model in Honor of Robbe & Berking’s 150th Anniversary
Mercedes-Maybach has unveiled a special edition S-Class model to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Robbe & Berking, renowned for their silverware and yacht craftsmanship. This unique vehicle takes design cues from the iconic SPHINX 12mR yacht, a symbol of elegance and meticulous craftsmanship.
Originally built in 1939 and restored in 2008 by Robbe & Berking Classics, the SPHINX yacht not only revived a historic vessel but also established Robbe & Berking’s yacht shipyard. In homage to this heritage, the anniversary Mercedes-Maybach S 680 features a distinctive two-tone paint scheme: nautical blue metallic on the upper body and MANUFAKTUR patagonia red on the lower, accented with a MANUFAKTUR opalite white metallic pinstripe that echoes the yacht’s sleek lines.
Inside, the vehicle is adorned with Maybach MANUFAKTUR Exclusive nappa leather in crystal white with orion grey stitching, reminiscent of sail aesthetics. The maritime ambiance is enhanced by walnut wood trim with aluminum accents, complementing luxurious nappa leather seats. The vehicle boasts premium amenities such as electric comfort doors, illuminated door sills, a Burmester 4D surround sound system, MBUX rear-seat entertainment, and a cooling compartment featuring silver-plated champagne goblets from Robbe & Berking.
