Lana Del Rey Unveils Cover of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads”
Lana Del Rey has made a comeback with her rendition of John Denver’s 1971 classic, “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” This single marks her second standalone release following her ninth studio album, “Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd.”
The opening lines of the song, “Almost heaven, West Virginia / Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River,” showcase Del Rey’s emotive delivery. The track captures the essence of the original while infusing her own unique style.
Earlier this year, Del Rey released “Say Yes to Heaven,” a song that had been leaked onto streaming platforms but had not been officially released by the singer herself. Additionally, she collaborated with her father, Rob Grant, on the song “Hollywood Bowl” for his debut album, “Lost at Sea.”
In 2023, Lana Del Rey has also worked on a track with Bleachers and a song with Irish singer Holly Macve.
Lana Del Rey’s cover of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” is now available for streaming on all platforms.
