Get ready for the highly anticipated debut of the first-ever collaboration between Issey Miyake and New Balance as they introduce the MT10O sneaker. Unveiled during Issey Miyake’s runway show at Paris Fashion Week (Women’s) for Spring/Summer 2024 last September, this partnership brings forth a modern rendition of the iconic New Balance Minimus Trail (MT10) originally released in 2011.
The MT10O is a testament to the concept of sensuous physicality and barefoot mobility, drawing inspiration from the natural shape of the foot while reducing height and bulkiness. Despite this streamlined approach, the shoe retains trail running elements through its innovative construction. Featuring a durable Vibram-backed outsole designed for enhanced grip with its distinctive protruding shapes, the midsole incorporates a thin layer of cushioning for comfort and support. The upper combines lightweight mesh with leather accents, offering a perfect balance of breathability and durability. Completing the design, a cord-like shoelace and snug interior ensure stability and security, even on challenging terrain. The color palette includes “White,” “Black,” and “Blue Green,” each boasting a monochromatic aesthetic complemented by vibrant yellow Vibram branding at the lateral midfoot.
The Issey Miyake x New Balance MT10O will be available in its three colorways starting May 15 through select retailers in Japan, followed by a global release on June 14 at chosen stores worldwide.
