The world is full of talented and courageous individuals who are there to inspire others to do the same. Still, few can be said to be as adventurous as founder, investor, and YouTuber Felix Huettenbach. Known for his daring stunts and challenges, which he posts online, most recently including an attempt at earning his pilot’s license in just 30 days, Felix seeks to, as he puts it, “create content that inspires others to step outside of their comfort zone and embark on bold challenges.”
The Beginnings of a Success Story
Although Felix enjoys considerable success as the founder of four companies, he was not born into that success and instead had to earn it. His first foray into acquiring the grit and determination necessary to be an effective entrepreneur was when, at only ten, he asked his parents to attend a Shaolin monastery for a year to mimic his idol, Jackie Chan. At the monastery, Felix honed his body and mind and learned the importance of community and listening to one’s body.
Felix’s first business venture began when he was 18. While attending school in Munich to study Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration, he also built an event production company, which helped fund the remainder of his degree.
The entrepreneur later moved to San Francisco to participate in Silicon Valley’s technology boom, working with the German American Chamber of Commerce to connect German and American technology leaders. Over the next few years, Felix engaged in other ventures but founded his most successful one in Los Angeles.
Working as Chief of Staff at a cancer detection company Quantgene as the COVID pandemic began, Felix devised another company, Sameday Health, to provide the general public with widespread testing solutions. This company grew to accommodate over 2000 employees and assisted over 3 million Americans with various COVID concerns, such as testing, vaccines, and doctor visits.
However, for the company’s future growth, Felix and the management team decided to cede leadership to Dr. Matthew Abinante when Rume Health acquired the company in 2023. This change in leadership allowed Felix to pursue his dreams of helping those around him and enjoying the more thrilling aspects of life. He grew from a broke intern on a visa to the founder of four businesses.
The Dubai-Based Thrillseeker
Today, Felix focuses mainly on his YouTube channel, where he performs stunts like spending 24 hours at sea alone and earning a skydiving license in less than two weeks. His most recent project involved an attempt to earn a pilot’s license in only 30 days.
In the video, Felix notes the surprising difficulty of earning the license out of Prague, commenting on the sheer amount of theoretical and academic material that comes with the practical elements of flying the plane. Despite these difficulties, he can earn his license and enjoy the freedom of flying the open skies, sending his viewers the message that even though the process was grueling, great things are possible given enough time and dedication.
