Chanelle James stuns everyone and touches hearts as a poet and a business owner, taking over the arts and entertainment industry with her brand “Empathy Wanders.”
It is so surreal to read about all those professionals who ditch the traditional paths to growth and success in their careers and take unconventional roads to reach the highest of the highs in their desired industries. What is even more amazing here is that women from all backgrounds and different parts of the world have showcased their A-game and have been taking over almost all industries as true-blue professionals, artists, leaders, business owners and more. We couldn’t help but notice how one such passionate being chose to pave her own path to growth and success by diving deep into the arts and entertainment realms; we are talking about Chanelle James, aka Nelle J, the woman who believed in providing value through her art as a poet and businesswoman and that’s what she did.
Chanelle James stands tall and unique today as a one-of-a-kind ‘Entreprenista,’ owning her brand Empathy Wanders and serving as its CEO. Her empathetic wandering poetry has indeed struck the right chords with people’s hearts, and that’s what has propelled her forward as a top talent in the industry. Speaking about her work, Nelle J says that when she always envisioned her life, she knew she wanted to help others because of her giving and passionate spirit. She began her career as an educator and developed into a writer, author and poet. Over the years, writing transitioned from being a technical effort into a therapeutic experience. She then started writing her feelings to battle anxiety and stressors, which later turned into rhythmic, candid stories that focused on most of her life experiences, along with stories that were shared with her. The poetic rhythm was birthed from her love for music, and she began sharing them with her family, friends and colleagues.
After copywriting a collection of poems, she authored her first book, “Intuitive Ramble,” released in May 2021, which rose to massive recognition as a collection of candid, themed poetry with themes like love, lust, empowerment, triumph, and faith. It was then she got motivated to take a step further and enter entrepreneurship by establishing her company Empathy Wanders, LLC (Candid Thoughts That Wander),
Nelle J says that the thing she loves the most about her work is writing poetry and sharing her thoughts with the world. Adding more to this, she suggests up-and-comers and other budding professionals resort to art of any form to better express their feelings and thoughts to people, like the way some of them do through music and some others through dance. She does this through poetry, which she believes has added more meaning to her life. The best part, she says, besides her published books, is when people tell her the powerful impact her writings and poem have had on them and have helped them come to an understanding of their own.
In a parting shot, she (@nelle.j19) says, “Being an empath is therapeutic. I am able to rhythmically and candidly express thoughts and feelings about myself and others as a way to let the world know you are not alone. My goal is to offer perspective about situations we as humans face.”
Her second book is on its way to release this year, and she plans to expand her brand this May at the Atlanta Women’s Expo.
