Resse recalls that as an 8-year-old, he met Nas, the hip-hop icon at the old Tower Records on South St. This, along with being onstage with DMX at the TLA, further strengthened his love for music and motivated him to pursue it as a career, later in life. It was Larry Lar, who had the first hip-hop billboard song ever who showed him the ropes on the promotional side of things doing the Rittenhouse Live Music events. Schooly D, the first gangster rapper in the music industry gave him a few gems on the game. He got an original Docu series releasing on his TV Network called “For the Culture” that’s going to spread light on a lot of the hip-hop history. He has worked with so many people over the years in all aspects of the entertainment world and fashion. Today, Resse finds inspiration not just from the incredible history of his family in music, but also from his “Certified Dope” team and High Maintenance family. He recalls how Spike Lee was the first person that showed him that he could independently be in the music industry by giving him his first sync license placement with Netflix on his TV show “She’s Gotta Have It Season 2”.
