In this week’s fashion roundup, we celebrate the launch of several exciting projects.
Addison Rae Leads Saint Laurent’s Marcel Proust-Inspired Campaign
Saint Laurent’s latest campaign, directed by Nadia Lee Cohen, draws inspiration from Yves Saint Laurent’s favorite book, In Search of Lost Time by Marcel Proust. The short film series, titled “As Time Goes By,” stars Addison Rae, Joey King, Chloë Sevigny, Charlotte Gainsbourg, John Waters, Travis Bennett, and more, exploring themes of love, memory, and desire. The first installments are out now, with more films to be released soon, continuing to capture the essence of Proust’s work through a unique, artistic lens.
Telfar Opens Its First Store in New York City
After dominating the fashion scene with its instantly-sold-out shopper bags, Telfar has finally opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Manhattan. Located at 408 Broadway, the store opened its doors on November 23 with a grand party featuring performances and interactive experiences. The flagship store will be open Wednesdays to Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., but Telfar cheekily asked fans not to visit on opening day—after all, the store will be around forever!
Luna Luna Art Carnival Makes Its NYC Debut
Nearly 40 years after its creation, the art carnival Luna Luna has made its way to New York City. Curated by André Heller, Luna Luna features works from artists like Dalí, Basquiat, Delaunay, Haring, Lichtenstein, and Hockney. Initially launched in Hamburg, Germany in 1987, the carnival was a blend of art and amusement, with rides and games turned into playful pieces of art. After being stored away for decades, Luna Luna is now available for the public to enjoy in the Big Apple, offering a whimsical experience that merges the world of fine art with fun-filled entertainment.
This week has been one of celebration, creativity, and new beginnings, with fashion, art, and culture all taking center stage.
