Tiffany & Co. has partnered with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) to introduce an innovative Jewelry Designer Award, designed to spotlight American jewelry designers who champion inclusivity and to establish jewelry design as a distinguished category on par with womenswear and menswear.

The award offers selected participants an opportunity for mentorship and hands-on learning experiences with Tiffany & Co.’s creative processes. An esteemed panel of judges will evaluate each participant’s work, with the winner receiving a year-long fellowship in Tiffany & Co.’s design department and a $50,000 USD prize.

The 2024 selection committee boasts a diverse group of industry leaders, including Alexandre Arnault, Tiffany & Co.’s executive vice president of product, communications, and industrial; CFDA board member and advocate Bethann Hardison; Sotheby’s vice chairman of jewelry Frank Everett; actress Gabrielle Union; creative director and stylist Jahleel Weaver; Jason Wu, founder and chief creative officer; supermodel and actress Joan Smalls; Tiffany & Co.’s chief artistic officer of jewelry and high jewelry Nathalie Verdeille; and Rajni Jacques, global head of fashion and beauty at Snap Inc.

Alexandre Arnault commented, “The inaugural Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award represents Tiffany Atrium’s dedication to driving meaningful change within the jewelry and design sectors. With a legacy of supporting inclusivity and creative excellence, Tiffany & Co. remains a staunch advocate for creative expression and social impact.”

Applications for the 2024 Jewelry Designer Award are now open on the CFDA’s website. The submission period will close on Friday, August 16, with selected participants to be announced in the fall. The winner of the Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award will be revealed in early 2025.
