MING has once again pushed the boundaries of dive watch design with the introduction of the 37.09 Bluefin. Retaining the classic MING aesthetic while breaking new ground, this Swiss brand’s latest timepiece marks its debut with an internal dial, setting a new standard in the dive watch space.
Initially conceived as an evolution of the H41 dive watch, MING encountered challenges in integrating additional technical features into a compact 19mm case. However, a strategic pivot led the brand to prioritize a sleek and slim profile for the Bluefin.
Measuring just 12.8mm thick and 38mm in diameter, the Bluefin surpasses expectations with a remarkable crush depth of 900m after 24 hours of saturation – three times the brand’s original target. MING achieved this impressive level of pressure resistance through meticulous adjustments, including optimizing the curvature of the front face and crystal positioning on the rear side.
The Bluefin’s Super-LumiNova X1 filled sapphire dial boasts a sealed crown at 4 o’clock, enabling smooth rotation within a 60-click cycle even underwater. Enhanced visibility in low-light conditions ensures readability at any depth, complemented by a soft rubber buckle strap for comfort and durability.
Limited to just 500 units in 2024, the 37.09 Bluefin is now available for purchase on the MING website at a price of $5,370 USD (₣4,950 CHF). Don’t miss your chance to own this sleek and durable dive watch that redefines the boundaries of underwater timekeeping.
