Get ready for an unparalleled VIP experience as the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers, the Intuit Dome, prepares to redefine luxury in sports and entertainment. Billionaire owner Steve Ballmer’s vision has brought forth a groundbreaking venue set to debut in August, promising not only top-notch sports and concert facilities but also an opulent VIP club that will set the standard for exclusivity and comfort.
Design Excellence:
Leading the charge in crafting the lavish Lexus Courtside Lounge is none other than London-based interior designer Rita Konig, renowned for her work on the esteemed San Vicente Bungalows. Drawing inspiration from this Hollywood-favored private members’ club, Konig aims to infuse the Intuit Dome’s VIP experience with the same laid-back yet sophisticated ambiance that has made the Bungalows a hotspot for the city’s elite.
Gillian Zucker, president of business operations for the Clippers, explains that the goal was to capture the vibrant energy of the Bungalows while ensuring a sense of comfort and familiarity. It’s all about creating an atmosphere where guests feel right at home, or perhaps in a place they wish was their home.
A Touch of London, a Dash of California:
Inspired by London’s iconic Annabel’s club, which famously began its journey in a basement, Konig embarks on designing a windowless oasis within the Intuit Dome. However, when it comes to the color palette, the focus shifts to Southern California vibes. Konig describes her vision, stating that pink, reminiscent of Sunset Boulevard and the warm hues of a California sunset, embodies the essence of Los Angeles. Gillian Zucker interjects, noting that while it may evoke the spirit of the Bungalows, the color will be tailored to reflect the Clippers’ signature hues – an “off-red,” if you will.
Luxurious Amenities:
The Lexus Courtside Lounge is poised to impress with its intimate setting, featuring small tables, banquettes, and three direct entrances to the court. Divided into two symmetrical sides with a central aisle for player access, the space accommodates approximately 400 guests and can be transformed into an exclusive venue for special events. And let’s not forget the culinary delights – from a well-stocked bar to two pizza ovens and a delectable array of freshly prepared bites, the all-inclusive experience is designed to tantalize the senses.
As the anticipation builds for the grand unveiling of the Intuit Dome and its exquisite VIP Clubhouse, one thing is certain – it’s not just a game, it’s an immersive journey into the heights of luxury and entertainment.
