Whether it’s her clean skincare brand, Gently Radiant Skin®, or XREINN, her consulting firm, Uche Ekhator Mobayode thrives in business with honesty and a powerful sense of purpose.
It’s always inspiring to learn about professionals who, rather than follow the crowd, pursue bold ideas, take risks, and carve out their own unique space. Highlighting the journeys of such innovators — who lead with passion, expertise, and intention — is essential. One such trailblazer is Uche Ekhator Mobayode, Ph.D., a multi-talented professional and devoted mother on a mission to drive meaningful change through her business ventures — whether in skincare through Gently Radiant Skin®, or through XREINN, a consulting firm democratizing access to product and market research for entrepreneurs.
Her career has always been anchored in data, research, and problem-solving. As a former World Bank Economist and Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh, Uche has extensive experience in social science research, data analytics, market strategy, and UX insights. She spent years helping organizations make informed, impactful decisions with data. But in pursuit of greater flexibility while raising her young children, she stepped away from the World Bank and launched XREINN — and unexpectedly, became her own most important client.
While navigating postpartum skin changes and becoming increasingly conscious of ingredient safety for herself and her children, Uche identified a major gap in the skincare market. Most gentle skincare products were either ineffective, filled with questionable ingredients, or marketed only for babies. She wanted something more — and realized many others did too.

So, she created Gently Radiant Skin®: a non-toxic, science-based skincare brand for every age and stage of life, prioritizing naturally derived ingredients. Launching officially on November 1, 2025, the brand’s product line includes facial care, body care, cold process bar soaps, and clean fragrances — including natural eau de toilettes and natural fragrance oils. Each formula is crafted to be gentle, effective, and safe for all skin types.
Uche emphasizes that Gently Radiant Skin® wasn’t created in a vacuum — it was built from data. Over two years, she conducted in-depth research, analyzed trends, engaged in social listening, and connected directly with consumers to understand what was missing from the market. She then assembled a team to formulate products that were not only safe but truly effective. Tools like Google Trends, Amazon analytics, and social media insights helped her validate demand and shape every product with precision — even before development began.
What sets Gently Radiant Skin® apart is its family-first philosophy and unwavering commitment to real, verifiable standards.
“There are no standard definitions around terms like ‘clean’ or ‘non-toxic’ in skincare,” Uche explains. “That’s why we’re going the extra mile to validate those claims.
”To back that commitment, the brand is actively pursuing industry-leading certifications, including MADE SAFE®, COSMOS Organic, EWG Verified, and Leaping Bunny — proof of its dedication to safety, transparency, and consumer trust.

Thanks to her background in economics and product development, Uche brings a rare combination of analytical rigor and human-centered design to the skincare world. She approaches formulation the same way she tackles any complex challenge — balancing empathy with evidence, and intuition with insight. Her structured, research-informed process ensures every product solves a real problem, delivers real results, and earns its place on someone’s shelf.
With Gently Radiant Skin®, Uche is building more than just another skincare brand — she’s creating a company rooted in performance, purity, and purpose. And through XREINN, she continues to empower entrepreneurs and businesses around the world to bring their own thoughtful, insight-led products to life.
Entrepreneur, economist, mother, and mission-driven leader — Uche Ekhator Mobayode is proving that when you build with heart and data, you don’t just launch a brand. You create something with purpose.
