RM Sotheby’s is set to auction a truly unique piece of automotive history—a 1995 Porsche 911 Remastered by Gunther Werks. Dubbed the Rennsport Aventura Commission, this one-of-a-kind vehicle is the final example of only 25 Carrera-based builds produced by the renowned California-based firm, Gunther Werks.
First unveiled at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering in 2022, the Rennsport Aventura turned heads with its striking bespoke livery and advanced carbon fiber integration. Under the hood, it houses a naturally aspirated, air-cooled 4L flat-six engine, finely tuned by Rothsport Road and Race to deliver an impressive 435 horsepower and 312 lb-ft of torque. This power is channeled through a six-speed Getrag G50 manual transmission, further enhanced with a lightened flywheel and clutch borrowed from the 997.2 GT3 RS.
For exceptional handling, the vehicle is equipped with a JRZ suspension system featuring adjustable coil-overs, along with Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes that provide the perfect balance of track-level performance and road comfort. The interior of the Rennsport Aventura is 80 percent bespoke, showcasing a blend of two-tone perforated leather, anodized aluminum, and carbon fiber accents, all hallmarks of Gunther Werks’ commitment to superior craftsmanship.
Originally commissioned for $778,888, including more than $200,000 in performance upgrades, this immaculate example remains in showroom condition with delivery mileage. Due to its rarity and exceptional build quality, it is expected to fetch upwards of $1,100,000 at auction. Bidding registration is currently open, with the official auction set for January 24 as part of RM Sotheby’s Arizona sale.
