Mercedes-Benz has unveiled an exciting new chapter in its collaboration with Moncler, introducing the limited-edition G-Class Past II Future at the “City of Genius” show in Shanghai. Designed by fashion visionary NIGO, this exclusive model reimagines the classic G-Class from the 1990s, merging its iconic design with modern luxury.
NIGO’s creative direction is evident in the “Project G-Class Past II Future,” a one-off art piece that has inspired this limited series. The revamped G-Class features a striking two-tone olive green and grey exterior, accented with black and gold details. Signature elements like a foldable windscreen and a rear-mounted spare wheel enhance its unique character. Inside, the cabin pays homage to its roots with checked seat upholstery, complemented by gold and orange accents that connect the vehicle to the accompanying fashion collection.
Limited to just 20 units, the G-Class Past II Future is a rare gem in Mercedes-Benz’s storied 45-year G-Class legacy. This vehicle exemplifies the blend of nostalgia and innovation, showcasing how NIGO’s reinterpretation of 90s urban culture informs its contemporary allure.
In addition to the G-Class, the collaboration will also feature a capsule fashion collection set to launch in April 2025. This collection embodies the same vintage-meets-modern ethos, offering gender-neutral streetwear characterized by bold prints and timeless silhouettes.
