Louis Vuitton has unveiled its first deluxe chocolate store in China just ahead of the upcoming Chinese Valentine’s Day (Qixi) festivities. This new location marks only the third for the maison, following branches in LV Dream in Paris and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, and brings Louis Vuitton’s Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric to Shanghai.
Situated in the Taikoo Li Qiantan shopping mall, the store arrives perfectly timed for Qixi celebrations in early August. The chocolate shop embodies luxury with Louis Vuitton’s signature house codes infused into its confectionery offerings. The interior design evokes a tropical garden ambiance, adorned with wooden trunk displays that stretch from floor to ceiling, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The playful setting features LV’s iconic Vivienne mascot and The Petula pet lion as focal points.
All chocolates sold at the store are adorned with recognizable Louis Vuitton motifs and are sourced directly from Paris to ensure the highest quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. The shop itself is housed within a petal monogram-shaped space at the heart of the mall.
Chef Maxime Frédéric expressed excitement about the expansion, stating, “We draw inspiration from local culture and lifestyle. In the future, we plan to introduce customized creations for Shanghai, such as those for Chinese New Year. It’s essential for us to share the happiness and delight of these exquisite chocolate treats, as love is the most important ingredient in each piece of chocolate.” Prices for the chocolate offerings range from $30 to $448 USD.
The Louis Vuitton chocolate shop in Shanghai officially opens to the public on July 23, inviting visitors to indulge in a luxurious chocolate experience.
