During the recent Dallas Mavericks Media Day, Kyrie Irving shared his excitement for the upcoming NBA season alongside new teammate Klay Thompson. In a conversation with reporter Chris Henderson, Irving addressed the possibility of collaboration off the court with Thompson, both of whom are signed to ANTA.
Irving confirmed that fans can expect to see collaborative efforts in the near future. “To answer your question about Klay, absolutely. There’s definitely going to be some competition, reminiscent of my dad’s signature series. Klay and I have had brief discussions about ANTA, but nothing in-depth yet. I believe you’ll see more collaborations from us soon—especially in terms of apparel. It’s a great opportunity for us to build something together.”
Klay Thompson, who became an ANTA signature athlete in 2015, is gearing up to launch his 10th signature model, the KT X, this fall. Meanwhile, Irving debuted his first signature shoe with ANTA earlier this spring, the Kai 1. With both players poised to enhance their partnerships, fans can look forward to exciting new releases on the horizon.
