In a world that constantly evolves with technology, there are a few men like Olaoluwa Ogundeji who live and breathe innovation just for the sake of it. Co-founder of Mimrr Inc.., a code storytelling company in the USA, and a personification of resiliency, inventiveness, and foresight, Ogundeji shares insights into his journey of entrepreneurship, innovation, and the power of code storytelling.

From a young age, Ogundeji was inspired by Robert Kiyosaki’s “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” which enlightened him on the importance of solving valuable problems through entrepreneurship. This insight, combined with his personal experiences of his father’s demanding job in banking, motivated Ogundeji to pursue a career path that would allow him to maintain a work-life balance and be a present and active parent. His desire to avoid the pitfalls of traditional employment and be there for his family’s significant moments led him to venture into the tech world.

Starting in 2006, he sold live streaming services to Nigerian television stations. Facing some setbacks, he transitioned to a grocery delivery startup in 2012. This also did not work. However, his persistence and determination gave him the confidence to launch numerous other businesses, one of which was Nud Exp limited, a communications company that provided consulting services all throughout Nigeria.

Reflecting on his journey, Ogundeji shares, “The road to success is paved with failures. Each setback taught me valuable lessons and fueled my determination to succeed.” A pivotal moment in Ogundeji’s career was his participation in Antler‘s Nairobi cohort in 2021, an experience that helped him understand the tech startup ecosystem. It was here that the foundations of Mimrr Inc. were laid, marking the beginning of a journey towards transforming coding through storytelling.

Mimrr Inc.‘s mission is to improve code documentation and analytics. The platform leverages its self-hosted intelligent algorithms and a seamlessly intuitive interface, empowering developers to effortlessly generate comprehensive documentation and analytics of their codebase with just a single click, transforming the efficiency and accuracy of software development. This breakthrough addresses a critical pain point in the industry, transforming how developers interact with their work and each other. In 2024, Ogundeji was accepted into Techstars, a pre-seed funder for early-stage startups. This helped Mimrr Inc.. fulfill their mission and share their vision to professionals in the tech industry.

Ogundeji’s leadership extends beyond the confines of Mimrr Inc.. He once lectured at Simon Page College of Marketing and Orange Academy about his work and expertise in brand, tech and business, influencing over 1,000 students and professionals and creating a culture of learning and growth within the Nigerian community. He was also involved in volunteer works, including leading initiatives like The Orderly Society and serving as a communications consultant for the Jumejilo Multi-Birth Assistance Program. This initiative, aimed at improving prenatal and postnatal healthcare for multiple-birth mothers in Lagos, Nigeria, shows Ogundeji’s ability to use his expertise for societal benefit. “I truly believe in giving back to communities and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneur enthusiasts,” Ogundeji remarks.

Reflecting on his four-year quest for the right technical co-founder, Ogundeji really showed his determination to never settle for less. “Finding the right partner was crucial. Most of the ones I encountered lacked the enthusiasm or commitment to actually start a company. It took time, but meeting Brian Giggle  was the piece of the puzzle we needed to move forward,” he shares. His encounter with Brian Giggle marked the end of this search. With a shared vision for the company, they built it from level 1 to a hundred.

Looking towards the future, Ogundeji remains committed to pushing the boundaries of technology and storytelling. He aims to inspire the next generation of professionals through mentorship, collaboration, and a continuous pursuit of innovation. His journey, marked by challenges, achievements, and contributions to society, serves as an inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts alike.
