Eva Constance Is Ready to “Work On It” — Rising Star Opens Up About Her Journey, Struggles, and the Music That Keeps Her Going

In an era where virality can sometimes outshine raw talent, Eva Constance—born Chanteuse Green—stands out as the real deal. Hailing from Hartford, Connecticut, the rising singer-songwriter has made a name for herself by blending nostalgic R&B vibes with fresh pop energy. But behind her growing success is a story of resilience, self-belief, and relentless hustle that paints a fuller picture of who Eva really is.

Her musical journey began in a place many great singers find their voice—church. “I started in my church choir when I was very little,” Eva recalls. “That was my first real connection to music, and even back then, I felt it was something I could never let go of.” Surrounded by soulful harmonies and the supportive spirit of the congregation, Eva learned early on that music wasn’t just about sound—it was about emotion and connection.

That foundation led her to explore the voices that would shape her artistry. “Aaliyah was my very first inspiration,” she says, naming the late R&B legend with admiration. “But I also looked up to Mariah Carey, JLo, and TLC. They each had their own magic, and they made me believe I could be something more.”

That “something more” would eventually become Eva Constance—a stage name that reflects both her elegance and her determination. Now carving her own lane in the industry, Eva’s music is often described in one word: fun. But behind that word is a deeper process. “I love making bops that you can play over and over again,” she explains. “My creative process used to start with melodies in my head, but now I usually write with an instrumental. I find a melody that works within that key, and then I write lyrics to match it. It’s all about feeling.”

Though her music may be upbeat, Eva’s road to this moment has been anything but easy. Juggling a full-time career as a Radiologic Technologist, she’s also working toward a Mammography degree—all to support the passion that never left her side. “I’ve been funding my own music career for years,” she says. “If I could afford to do music full time, I would in a heartbeat. But the reality is, it’s hard to keep going when you don’t have a team or the financial support others might have.”

Her journey has included serious lows—like a time when she was homeless in Los Angeles, chasing her dream with no guarantee it would work out. “I went to LA thinking I’d figure it out somehow. And I did—but it was really hard. I got a job, found an apartment, and kept pushing. Even though it was tough, I look back at that time with pride. It was worth it. I miss LA every single day. It’s my other home.”

Despite the challenges, Eva Constance never gave up. Her dedication has led to recent recognition on platforms like iTunes, where she charted with her music independently—a major feat for an artist without major label backing. This momentum is now setting the stage for her next big move: a new single titled “Work On It,” accompanied by a mini tour across the U.S. in late 2025.

“I’m really excited about what’s coming,” she says. “The tour includes shows, pop-up appearances, and radio station interviews in cities like Florida, Connecticut, LA, New York City, Illinois, Georgia, and more. I’ll be announcing all the details soon, but it’s definitely going to be special.”

“Work On It” will dive into her story in a personal way—reflecting on growth, independence, and the grind behind every win. The title alone speaks volumes about her mentality: there are no shortcuts in Eva Constance’s world. You put in the time, the effort, and the heart.

Beyond her own journey, Eva remains a student of the game, admiring a wide range of artists who continue to influence her evolving sound. “Aside from the legends I grew up with, I really admire Lisa and Jennie from BLACKPINK, Tate McRae, and Tyla. They each bring something unique to the table, and I’m inspired by their artistry.”

Even with everything on her plate, Eva hasn’t lost her sense of humor or quirky side. Ask her about her “useless” talents and she’ll laugh: “I can cry like a baby—like, actually mimic the sound. And I can also sound exactly like my cat, Leo. He’s part Serval, so his meow is very distinct, and I can copy it perfectly. Totally useless… but kind of cool.”

That ability to find joy in the little things while pushing through big challenges is exactly what makes Eva Constance so magnetic. She’s not just another artist with a pretty voice—she’s a woman with a vision, a survivor with a melody, and a dreamer who’s steadily building her own reality.

Her story isn’t polished by overnight fame. It’s layered with perseverance, sacrifice, and love for her craft. And with each new release, performance, and late-night writing session, Eva Constance is inching closer to where she belongs—at the top.

“I just want to be able to say I gave this everything I had,” she says. “If I can look back and know I never gave up on myself or my music, that’s a win.”

One thing’s for sure: Eva Constance isn’t done working on it. In fact, she’s just getting started.
