Canadian rapper Drake has expressed his outrage over an AI-generated cover of him rapping the popular jingle for a brand of seasoning called “Ice Spice.” The cover was released on YouTube on April 14th and has since gone viral, with fans and social media users sharing it across different platforms.

The video, which features an AI-generated version of Drake rapping about the popular seasoning, caught the rapper’s attention, and he took to his Instagram story to condemn it. Drake expressed his frustration with the use of his likeness in the video, stating that it was not authorized and that he did not endorse the product.

“I don’t support this,” the rapper wrote on his Instagram story. “This is not me. I’m not the face of any brand, and I’m not endorsing any products. This is a violation of my image, and I will be taking legal action against those responsible.”

Drake is not the first celebrity to be caught in a controversy involving unauthorized use of their image or likeness. The use of deepfake technology, which allows for the creation of convincing fake videos or images, has become increasingly common in recent years, with celebrities and public figures being some of the most common targets.

The controversy surrounding the AI-generated Drake video has sparked a debate about the ethical use of deepfake technology and the responsibility of companies and individuals who create and distribute such content. While some argue that the technology can be used for harmless entertainment or creative purposes, others express concerns about the potential for misuse and abuse.

The incident serves as a reminder that celebrities and public figures need to be vigilant about how their images are used in the digital age. It also highlights the need for increased regulation and oversight of AI-generated content to prevent unauthorized use and protect individuals’ rights to their own likeness.
