She is currently working on the redistribution of her documentary ‘Families Are Forever Parkland Strong’.
Daniela Tablante is a known television host and producer who has excelled well in her field of work. She is currently in the news for her plans of redistributing her documentary ‘Families Are Forever Parkland Strong’ which was live on Amazon Prime Video in the US and UK for more than three years. The documentary brought her to the limelight as it is about gun violence, an issue that takes away many lives in the US. This ace producer has also been a part of many other interesting projects like ‘Culpa’, a short film which is streaming on HBO at present, and she’s almost finished with the production of Blue Springs, which is based on the real story of a police officer who was a serial killer in the state of Florida.
Daniela recalls how she moved from Madrid, Spain to the US to shape her career in the media industry, and started her struggle from the bottom. She initially worked as a news reporter in Univision Central Florida, where she was in charge of daily news, politics and stories revolving around the Hispanic community. Later she shifted to hosting a morning show – Despierta Orlando, where she spoke about Central Florida public events, weather and highlights of the main news shows of the day. Also, she broadcasted daily news stories in one of the main Spanish radio stations in the Orlando area named Salsa 98.1 FM.
Daniela got her first degree in Mass Communications from Lindenwood University, after which she was selected as an intern in NBC-affiliated television station KSDK in St. Louis. Later, she moved to Florida to work in Hispanic media. After her education and working for Univision Orlando for a year, she decided to complete her higher studies in Miami and got her master’s degree in Mass Communications and Media Business with a mention in Hispanic Journalism from Florida International University. While studying at the university, she got a chance to work in the scientific and research department of the university, where she got involved in different studies regarding Climate Change, especially on the topic of the rise in the sea level in South Florida, along with other topics like the prejudices of mental illnesses in the Hispanic and Latino community and genetically modified mosquitoes to fight the Zika virus.
During her last semester she started filming an independent documentary that streamed for three long years on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV, titled ‘Families are Forever, Parkland Strong’, which got her into mainstream production business. Presently, Daniela is co-hosting the morning show “Buenos Diaz” on Miami community radio 101.1 FM where she addresses the issues that concern the local community of Miami. She also works as a reporter for Univision South West Florida , and is working on producing a podcast to empower women in the media industry.
