DJ and producer Carlita has announced the release of her debut album, Sentimental, and has unveiled the lead single, “The Moment,” featuring SG Lewis. This highly anticipated 12-track album marks a significant evolution in Carlita’s career, showcasing her versatility as she ventures into various musical genres. The album pays homage to her Italian heritage and personal journey, with tracks like “Comme Ça Voce” celebrating her roots and “Trouble Symphony,” a collaboration with DJ Tennis, reflecting their early career together.
“The Moment” stands out as an energetic club anthem, staying true to Carlita’s signature style. SG Lewis’s vocals blend seamlessly with Carlita’s synth-driven beats, and the track’s multiple beat drops make it a perfect addition to any dance floor.
Carlita shared her thoughts with Hypebeast, revealing that “The Moment” holds special significance for her. “This track was actually the first one I ever produced back in 2015,” she said. “Finding it again was a ‘whoa this is amazing’ moment. I reached out to SG Lewis to collaborate on this updated version, and we spent countless hours in the studio bringing it to life. It’s very sentimental to me.”
Before the album’s release, Carlita has already dropped two singles: “Time” and “Planet Blue,” featuring Cleo Simone. The track “Time” has been a standout in her live sets, often used as a powerful closer.
Carlita’s upcoming tour will take her across Europe and the US, with performances in cities including Cannes, Mykonos, New York City, Ibiza, and San Francisco. The tour will wrap up on October 6 in Essaouira, Morocco.
