Adele has announced she will take an indefinite hiatus from music after concluding her final Las Vegas residency dates this October.
During a recent performance, Adele shared the news with fans, revealing her desire to take a break after an intense three-year run of live shows. “I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now,” she explained, referring to her recent engagement to Rich Paul. She acknowledged her comfort on stage but emphasized her need for rest and a change of pace.
“I have 10 shows left in my Las Vegas residency,” Adele said. “After that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time. I will hold you dear in my heart and cherish these performances.”
Adele also mentioned in an interview with German TV broadcaster ZDF that she has no plans for new music at the moment. “I want a big break after this and I think I want to explore other creative pursuits for a while,” she added.
