A$AP Rocky recently hosted an exclusive listening party for his highly anticipated album, Don’t Be Dumb, set to drop at the end of next month. This album marks Rocky’s first full-length studio release since 2018, and excitement is building among fans.
At the listening event, A$AP Rocky teased a new collaborative track with Tyler, the Creator. According to the NFR Podcast, attendees got a preview of the album, including a snippet of the track featuring Tyler’s verse that complements Rocky’s signature sound. The duo previously set the stage ablaze with their performances of “Who Dat Boy” at Coachella and have previously collaborated on tracks like “POTATO SALAD” and “TELEPHONE CALLS.”
In addition to the Tyler, the Creator collaboration, Rocky’s listening party also hinted at new tracks and a potential upcoming album from J. Cole. NFR Podcast reported that the session included a variety of intriguing elements, including a track featuring Slick Rick. Kast One mentioned, “I heard songs being played, including one with Slick Rick that was incredible. A$AP Rocky is definitely addressing many of the current hot topics in his new music.”
There is also speculation that Rocky may have a response to Drake’s recent jabs in his album For All the Dogs, as well as on “Family Matters.” Kast One suggested, “The list of topics Rocky addresses in his album is extensive. He’s certainly set to remain a key player in this ongoing feud.” Ebro further questioned whether Rocky’s responses would solidify his place on Drake’s radar, to which Kast One implied, “Oh, he’s going to be cemented on the list after this,” suggesting that the rivalry between the two artists may continue post-album release.
