Klein Vision has officially announced that its pioneering AirCar — a dual-purpose vehicle capable of both road driving and flight — is set to hit the market in early 2026. Priced between $800,000 and $1 million USD, the AirCar marks a major milestone as the world’s first certified flying car in over seven decades.
Unveiled recently at the prestigious Living Legends of Aviation Gala Dinner in Beverly Hills, the AirCar wowed attendees with its innovative design and groundbreaking capabilities. The production prototype, developed by the Slovakia-based company, is a fully functional hybrid vehicle that transforms from a street-legal car into an aircraft in under two minutes.
The AirCar is equipped with a 280-horsepower engine, features advanced aerodynamic systems, and is built with lightweight composite materials. It has already completed over 170 hours of test flights, as well as more than 500 takeoffs and landings, and currently holds a Certificate of Airworthiness — proving its viability as a real-world mobility solution.
Stefan Klein, the visionary behind the AirCar and recipient of the Special Recognition Award for Engineering Excellence at the gala, expressed his excitement about the project’s progress:
