Welcome back to The Week in Fashion, where we round up everything the industry’s buzzing about. From major collabs to boundary-breaking campaigns, here’s what had fashion insiders talking—and shopping—this week.
Kendrick Lamar Fronts Chanel’s Spring 2025 Eyewear Campaign
From the Grammy stage to the front row of fashion, Kendrick Lamar continues to redefine what it means to be a multi-hyphenate icon. This week, the Pulitzer Prize–winning rapper was revealed as Chanel’s latest brand ambassador, leading the French fashion house’s Spring 2025 eyewear campaign, shot by Karim Sadli.
Wearing a sleek pair of black shades with silver crystal beading on the temples, Lamar joins an elite league of male Chanel ambassadors that includes Pharrell Williams, G-Dragon, and Timothée Chalamet. “Chanel has a timeless legacy, and that is always something I can get behind,” Lamar said. “Since they don’t make clothes for men, I knew it would have to be glasses.”
His announcement comes on the heels of another big moment: the launch of his highly anticipated Grand National Tour with SZA. With stadium tours and luxury fashion campaigns under his belt, Kendrick’s 2025 is looking as polished as his new eyewear.
