This collaborative endeavor, initially introduced in 2022 to commemorate The Macallan’s bicentenary, represents a pinnacle of excellence where automotive prowess meets the finesse of whisky craftsmanship.
The Macallan Horizon stands as a testament to innovation, presented in a horizontal vessel with a distinctive 180-degree twist, echoing the expansive horizons synonymous with Bentley. This striking vessel showcases a fusion of six carefully selected materials, including a bespoke glass container enveloped in an aluminum ribbon and ensconced within a chestnut-colored, eco-conscious leather sculpture. Complemented by a recycled copper frame, oak wood inlay, and Bentley’s signature Crown Cut Walnut veneer, the vessel seamlessly marries traditional elements with contemporary design.
Under the expert guidance of Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell, The Macallan Horizon is meticulously crafted from a blend of spirits sourced from six first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks. Each cask imparts distinct flavors, resulting in a whisky characterized by rich dried fruit and spice notes, harmoniously balanced with hints of oak and leather reminiscent of Bentley’s opulent interiors.
