Xiomara’s personal experiences and cultural background fueled her journey into the fashion world. Noticing the lack of quality and a dearth of inclusive options during family pool times, she decided to launch her brand during the pandemic to offer a unique collection that doesn’t compromise on quality, design, comfort, or size, specifically catering to the diverse needs of women in Miami and beyond.
She moved around due to her husband’s career in professional sports, which helped her gain more insights into different cultures and travel the world. In 2021, she launched Quisqueya Swimwear and moved herself to the top, facing numerous challenges and overcoming them along the way to create a brand that could represent her Latina heritage.

“I believe it is important for entrepreneurs, especially the newcomers, to understand what their chosen niche or industry lacks or the problems customers face. After discovering the gaps and problems in the industry, they can brainstorm ideas around the product/service they wish to launch in that sector and offer customers the solution, making their brands unique and valuable,” explains Xiomara Arroyo.
