sAt the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon, Toyota introduced three exciting versions of the GR Yaris, each showcasing a unique approach to performance and engineering: the GR Yaris NÜR 24h, GR Yaris M Concept, and GR Yaris Aero Package Prototype.
The GR Yaris NÜR 24h marks Toyota’s return to the prestigious Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race after a six-year absence. This race-ready model is equipped with the newly developed GAZOO Racing Direct Automatic Transmission and will compete under the newly formed TOYOTA GAZOO ROOKIE Racing (TGRR) team. Extensive testing on both Japanese roads and the demanding Nürburgring circuit in 2024 highlights Toyota’s commitment to refining both the car and its drivers for extreme racing conditions.
The GR Yaris M Concept takes the GR Yaris platform to the next level. Powered by a mid-mounted, turbocharged 2.0L inline 4-cylinder engine, this model embraces Toyota’s “driver-first” philosophy. Designed specifically for the Super Taikyu Series, the M Concept was built to endure the challenging world of racing, with input from professional drivers and guidance from Morizo. This car underscores Toyota’s dedication to continuous development and refinement through real-world racing experiences.

Also revealed was the GR Yaris Aero Package Prototype, a model that stands out for its advanced aerodynamic modifications. Developed in collaboration with professional drivers, it features a variable rear wing and six additional performance-enhancing parts aimed at optimizing handling and stability. The bold design also includes a vertical handbrake option, further appealing to driving enthusiasts.
With these three distinctive iterations, Toyota continues to push the limits of performance, innovation, and driver engagement in the GR Yaris lineup.
