Rolex’s highly anticipated London flagship store is facing significant delays, with its opening now postponed to 2025, as reported by Watchpro. Initially scheduled for a 2023 debut, the flagship’s completion has been pushed back by a couple of years.
In 2022, the Watches of Switzerland Group revealed its intentions to relocate the Rolex boutique in London. The former location on Bond Street, a prestigious area synonymous with upscale brands and retailers since the Victorian era, was set to be replaced by a new, larger space just a few minutes away on the same street. Spanning three floors and 7,200 square feet, the new store will occupy the former flagship store of Gucci, positioning it alongside renowned luxury watch brands such as Jaeger LeCoultre, Vacheron Constantin, and A. Lange & Söhne.
Rolex Geneva, in collaboration with the Watches of Switzerland Group, is overseeing the design of the new flagship, with a focus on showcasing the brand’s rich history and providing exceptional client hospitality.
Originally intended to open in 2023, the project encountered setbacks related to the building’s basement, leading to the CEO of Watches of Switzerland Group, Brian Duffy, acknowledging that this issue would result in a delay, pushing the completion date to the following year.
