Malia Obama, the former first daughter and emerging filmmaker, made a notable appearance at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City. Her short film “The Heart” premiered at the festival, marking her directorial debut and earning a spot in the U.S. short fiction films program of the 2024 edition. Malia actively engaged in post-screening Q&As and even took the time to screen the film and share insights with students at Park City High School.
Amid her festival commitments, Malia also found time to enjoy the social scene. She was spotted at the Neon party at Sommsation Wine Lounge, where she mingled with stars from “The White Lotus” and graciously interacted with fellow attendees. Additionally, she made an appearance at the Macro Lodge’s open house celebration, joining in the weekend’s lineup of events, parties, and discussions.
