Hyundai has introduced the refreshed 2025 IONIQ 5 lineup, featuring the exciting new IONIQ 5 XRT variant, which is proudly built at the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Georgia. This rugged version is designed for adventure, boasting a 23mm suspension lift, all-wheel drive with dual motors, and durable 18-inch wheels fitted with all-terrain tires. Its bold exterior includes digital camouflage, black badges, and distinctive fascias, while the interior features H-Tex seating with exclusive XRT logos and a revamped center console.
The 2025 IONIQ 5 models also mark Hyundai’s first integration of the Tesla North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, providing access to over 17,000 Tesla Superchargers and doubling the charging options without needing an adapter. Alongside this, a Combined Charging System (CCS) adapter enhances fast-charging accessibility for all IONIQ 5 customers.
Hyundai’s president and global COO, José Muñoz, highlighted the brand’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle offerings, noting that the IONIQ 5 XRT is tailored for those seeking enhanced off-road capabilities. The new 2025 IONIQ 5 lineup, expected to qualify for U.S. tax incentives, will be available in dealerships this fall, with specific pricing details available through authorized Hyundai dealers.
