The global music star just announced The Valley, his second real estate project in Morocco. Here’s why it’s generating serious buzz.
When you think of GIMS, you probably think platinum records, sold-out arenas, and hits that have racked up billions of streams. What you might not know? The man is quietly becoming one of Morocco’s most interesting real estate developers.
On January 26, GIMS and his partner Horizon Morocco will unveil The Valley – Private Residences, a 50-villa community just outside Marrakech. And if you’ve ever dreamed of owning a design-forward home in one of the world’s most photogenic cities, this might be your moment.

Wait, GIMS Does Real Estate Now?
Yep—and he’s actually good at it. His first project, Sunset Village, launched in 2024 and sold out over 85% of its 117 villas. We’re talking a €100 million development that attracted international football stars, artists, and business heavyweights. The vibe? Curved architecture, brushed steel everything, a swimmable lagoon with an actual sandy beach, and a rooftop paddle court in the most Instagrammable shade of turquoise you’ve ever seen.
So when GIMS says he’s doing it again—but differently—people listen.
The Palm Springs of Morocco
Here’s where it gets interesting. The Valley sits on the Route de l’Ourika, about 15 minutes south of Marrakech’s city center. Picture this: Atlas Mountains on one side, the Agafay desert on the other, and that golden Moroccan light that makes everything look like a movie set.
GIMS saw it and immediately thought of Palm Springs. “The mountains, the gateway to the desert, the valley, and that eternal vacation feeling,” he explains. So he and Yacine Ghafour of Horizon Morocco decided to run with it— designing a community inspired by those iconic mid-century California homes, but with a distinctly Moroccan twist.
Think clean lines and walls of glass, but also traditional claustra screens casting geometric shadows, warm terracotta tones instead of stark whites, and handcrafted terrazzo floors. Every villa gets a rooftop terrace, because in Morocco, that’s where life happens after sunset.

The Main Attraction
At the center of The Valley: a nearly 100-meter reflecting pool lined with retro style loungers and parasols that look straight out of a 1960s architecture magazine. Twenty-four of the 50 villas sit directly on the water—morning coffee with mountain views included.
There’s also a clubhouse with a restaurant, bar, and co-working spaces (for when you need to pretend you’re still being productive), plus a full wellness center with spa, gym, and yoga studio.
A New Chapter
Sunset Village attracted a pretty exclusive crowd—international athletes, artists, power players. The remaining units there now start at €900,000 and go up to €1.5 million. For The Valley, GIMS and Horizon Morocco are positioning all 50 villas between €490,000 and €750,000.
It’s not about going downmarket—it’s about reaching a broader community of design-conscious buyers without compromising on the vision. Same ambition, different entry point.

How to Get In
The official reveal happens January 26 at Meydene in Marrakech. It’s a keynote-style presentation—no details released until you’re in the room. If you’re seriously interested, you can request an invitation at horizonmorocco.com.
They’re also opening a new “Prime” phase at Sunset Village for buyers who want the ultimate version of that project, starting at €1 million.
The Valley delivers in mid-2028. Which gives you plenty of time to figure out how to explain to your friends that you bought a house from GIMS.
