Dua Lipa gave fans in Colombia a night they won’t forget—by paying tribute to one of the country’s most treasured icons, Shakira. During her Radical Optimism Tour stop this past Friday, the pop star surprised the Bogotá crowd with a heartfelt rendition of one of Shakira’s earliest hits, the 1995 classic “Antología.”
Wearing a dramatic black fur coat layered over a sheer, glittering catsuit, Lipa delivered an emotional, Spanish-sung version of the beloved track. The audience erupted into a massive sing-along, filling the arena with nostalgia and pride. It wasn’t long before the tribute reached Shakira herself.
Shakira responded with a touching Instagram post, writing, “I’m so touched to hear my song in Dua’s voice, in the same city where I wrote it years ago. See how music brings us together? A girl from London and another one from Barranquilla! Thanks @dualipa! What a treat!” She shared a clip of Lipa’s performance alongside the message.
Lipa replied in Spanish, thanking Shakira for the song and telling her, “I loved singing your song!!! I ❤️ you!!!”
Fans flooded the comments, praising the moment as “a princess recognizing a queen” and referring to “Antología” as “the national anthem of Latin America.” Many even begged for a collaboration between the two global superstars.
Later, Lipa shared her own Instagram carousel filled with photos and videos from her Colombia show. She captioned the post in Spanish, “BOGOTÁ!!!! Thank you for an epic night, truly!!!!” and added in English, “I’ll be living off this adrenaline for the next few days!! 🇨🇴🌟”
The Radical Optimism Tour is set to wrap on December 5 with final performances in Mexico City, but her emotional tribute in Colombia has already become one of the tour’s most talked-about highlights.
