Apple has just released the iOS 17.4 update for iPhones, now available for iPhone Xs and newer models. Users can download the update directly from their device’s Settings menu.
One of the most noticeable changes in this update is the addition of new emojis. With developers constantly expanding the emoji library, iOS 17.4 introduces 118 new emojis, including a mushroom, phoenix, lime, and broken chain. Among them is a new emoji depicting a shaking head with slashes in the air, indicating a side-to-side movement.
Furthermore, users can now interact with emojis in new ways. Emojis can be removed from the keyboard, resized, and then placed onto messages in the Messages app or used as stickers on photos.
In addition to the emoji updates, Apple Podcasts now offers transcripts for its shows, which are available in English, French, Spanish, and German. Moreover, Siri can now announce messages that users receive in any of Apple’s supported languages.
