In a world where conversations around mental health are often glossed over or hidden behind curated perfection, Mikey Tableman is carving a different path. His work is raw, honest, and grounded in lived experience. As a creative entrepreneur and storyteller, Mikey is using his voice to shift the narrative one episode, performance, and heartfelt conversation at a time.
From Nightlife to Nonprofit
Before founding A Mind’s Pursuit, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, Mikey had spent years navigating the high-energy world of nightlife and music festivals. On the surface, it looked like a dream: flashing lights, elite events, and nonstop action, but behind the scenes, he was unraveling, grappling silently with depression, addiction, and burnout.
That internal chaos became the starting point for his advocacy work. “A Mind’s Pursuit began when I was trying to make sense of my own mess,” Mikey explains. “What started as a personal outlet evolved into something that could guide others.”
Now five years into his mental health journey, Mikey continues to share his story to support those who are still finding their way.

Chaos Controlled: Turning Pain into Purpose
As co-host of the Chaos Controlled podcast with actor Danny Gomez, Mikey welcomes guests from all walks of life to open up about their mental and emotional challenges. Currently in its third season, the show airs new episodes every Wednesday on all streaming platforms.
The podcast creates a sense of relief and recognition for listeners. “This isn’t about putting on a show,” Mikey shares. “It’s about real people talking about real things. That’s how we connect.” Whether he’s speaking with actors such as Breaking Bad’s RJ Mitte and One Tree Hill’s James Lafferty, or musicians such as Sam Pounds, Mikey uses his nuanced touch and empathetic storytelling to pull back the curtain on the human side of success and struggle.
For Mikey, that vulnerability shows strength. “The fact that I deal with mental health challenges doesn’t make me weak,” he says. “It’s what makes my work matter.”

Speaking to the Silent Battles
The statistics are sobering. Each year, over 6 million men in the U.S. face depression, yet the condition frequently goes undiagnosed. Roughly 1 in 10 men experience anxiety or depression, but less than half seek treatment. Even more alarming, the rate of suicide among men is more than four times higher than among women.
These numbers speak to a widespread reluctance to acknowledge mental health struggles, especially for men. Mikey is working to shift that reality by removing the stigma and creating spaces where people feel seen. One of his latest projects, “Conversations with the Boys,” set to launch in 2026, will feature intimate mental health roundtables for men, designed to foster healing through open dialogue.

A Different Kind of Healing
Mikey brings a lived-in perspective to the wellness space. He doesn’t present himself as a finished product. He journals, meditates, builds Legos when he’s anxious, and uses storytelling to navigate even his most difficult days.
His upcoming creative release, My Manic Maze, arriving in 2026, brings together poetry, music, and visual storytelling. It captures the highs and lows of his emotional world and reflects what it truly feels like to create through pain.
Looking Forward with Purpose
Mikey has a vision that extends far beyond his current projects. He also has plans to tour My Manic Maze, launch a children’s book series called Little Mikey to teach kids early emotional intelligence, and grow “A Mind’s Pursuit” into activations that can be presented in schools, corporations, and creative spaces. He also envisions his Chaos Controlled podcast becoming a global platform for honest mental health conversations.
“My goal is to help people understand that healing doesn’t need to look perfect,” Mikey says. “It just needs to be real.”
By continuing to build connections across generations and industries, Mikey is helping people see that they don’t have to suffer alone. Through advocacy, community, and meaningful conversation, he’s showing how healing becomes possible, one honest moment at a time.Follow Mikey’s work on Instagram and tune in to Chaos Controlled on Wednesdays to hear fresh voices that are changing how we talk about mental health.
