CN Guidance & Counseling Services has officially announced the grand opening of its Community Crisis Center in Hicksville, New York, to take place on December 6. This newly established center is a significant addition to Long Island’s behavioral health infrastructure, providing 24/7/365, immediate mental health and substance use crisis care for residents in need.
Located at 950 S. Oyster Bay Road, the center offers a place of stability and support when emotions run high or hope feels out of reach. As part of CN Guidance’s continued mission to make behavioral health care more accessible, this new facility is designed to serve anyone experiencing an urgent mental health or substance use challenge. No referral or appointment is required.
What You Can Expect
The Community Crisis Center will offer a variety of immediate services, including crisis stabilization, in-person evaluations and recovery-oriented support for individuals and families. Walk-in availability means help is there when it’s needed most, at any hour of the day or night.
In addition to on-site care, the center provides access to mobile response teams. These teams can travel to homes, workplaces or other local settings when someone is unable or unsafe to make it to the facility. Their goal is to de-escalate high-stress situations, provide on-the-spot support, and connect individuals to longer-term care that fits their needs.
Visitors will also receive care from licensed behavioral health professionals trained to assess emotional distress, offer guidance, and create a path toward stability, all in a calm, nonjudgmental environment.
Why This Center Matters
The launch of this center comes at a critical time. As communities across the country continue to address gaps in mental health response, local access to crisis services is becoming increasingly important. Rather than relying on hospital emergency rooms or police intervention, which may not always be the right fit for behavioral health care, this center provides a specialized alternative that offers greater comfort and understanding.
Its arrival marks a meaningful shift in how mental health crises are supported on Long Island.
A Message of Commitment
CN Guidance created the center as a direct result of listening to their community’s needs. With a history that spans over five decades, the organization has steadily expanded its programs to address mental health, substance use, trauma and more, while actively working to remove barriers like language, stigma and affordability.
This new center builds on that legacy. Services will be offered in multiple languages and provided regardless of a person’s ability to pay.
A Community-Focused Future
The Community Crisis Center represents a powerful commitment to Long Island residents. It offers a welcoming space for those feeling overwhelmed, uncertain or alone, and it’s open at all times.
For individuals and families in Nassau County, this resource provides more than access to care. It brings relief during some of life’s most difficult moments and affirms that no one should have to face those moments without support.
This opening reflects what true community care looks like: local, compassionate and ready when you need it..
