Adele took to Instagram to share the unfortunate news that she will be postponing several dates of her Las Vegas residency due to illness affecting her voice.
In her Instagram post on Tuesday, the Grammy-winning singer explained, “Sadly I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency. I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break.” Adele continued, revealing that despite her efforts to recover, she has been unable to fully regain her health, leading to a recurrence of illness and strain on her voice. Under doctor’s orders, she has no choice but to prioritize rest.
As a result, all shows scheduled for March will be postponed. Adele assured her fans that efforts are underway to reschedule the affected dates, and further details will be provided as soon as possible.
Expressing her apologies and gratitude to her fans, Adele wrote, “I love you, I’ll miss you like mad and I’m sorry for the inconvenience.”
Adele’s Las Vegas residency, “Weekends with Adele” at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, was initially slated to begin in January 2022 but faced delays due to production challenges and the impact of COVID-19. Despite these setbacks, the residency finally commenced in November 2022 and ran through March 2023. Additional dates were subsequently added for June to November 2023, followed by a further extension into 2024 with 32 new dates.
Fans eagerly await updates on the rescheduled dates as Adele focuses on her recovery and health.
