Ayo Edebiri, known for her role in The Bear, is set to make her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live. The show announced that she will be hosting the February 3 episode, with Jennifer Lopez as the musical guest. Edebiri’s hosting gig comes on the heels of a successful awards season, where she won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series Musical or Comedy, and the Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her portrayal of Sydney Adamu in The Bear.
At present, Edebiri is also a nominee for Best Actress in a Television Series Musical or Comedy at the Satellite Awards, and for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, all for her work on The Bear.
