According to Kerr, Wiggins' decision regarding his immunization status is a personal one, and the team respects it.

In places where municipal vaccination requirements exist, such as San Francisco, where the Warriors play, the NBA needs players to be immunized against COVID-19 in order to participate in games there.

The NBA has not yet granted Wiggins' request for a religious exemption from the vaccination requirement.

Regardless of regional vaccination requirements, Kerr stated that he thinks Wiggins will be allowed to participate in all of the team's games this season.

The Warriors have already taken the field in places where vaccination requirements exist, such as San Francisco and New York, where participation is mandatory.

Kerr also responded to complaints from admirers who disapprove of Wiggins' choice to forgo vaccination.

This season, Wiggins has been a key contributor for the squad, averaging 17.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
